Grade 15-5 Stainless Steel
15-5 is a precipitation hardened martensitic stainless steel alloy that is melted in AOD+VAR, AOD+ESR, or VIM+VAR melt type. This alloy is an improved version of 17-4 that offers better toughness. Because of its good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance this alloy is widely used in the aerospace industry for most fasteners and structural components.
