Grade 6150 Low Alloy Steel
6150 is a carbon chromium low alloy steel melted as AOD + VAR. This alloy has excellent shock resistance and toughness in the heat treated condition. This grade also possesses excellent abrasive resistance. This alloy is commonly used in machinery parts such as shafts gears and pinions. It also is used frequently in the aerospace industry in applications such as landing gear.
